Why Rio Grande do Norte? Print E-mail
Rio Grande do Norte is a region with an unblemished, tropical and green nature, beautiful beaches with palm trees and a friendly population. The capital of Rio Grande de Norte is Natal “Cidade do Sol” (city of the sun). The temperature goes from 20 degrees in wintertime to 35 degrees in summertime; the average temperature is 24 degrees.

There are more and more direct flights from European cities to Natal airport. Furthermore the region Natal is very safe and you can easily walk through the streets in Natal and the villages surrounding it, which is not something you can do in the big cities like Sao Paulo or Rio do Janeiro. The region is like Spain and Italy 30 years ago, very relaxed, country like and traditional, and that is how Brazil would like to keep it. In the villages you will not find any high buildings and it’s obligatory to have at least 25% of vegetation in each plot. The government protects nature in the sea and on the coastline and that is why rare species such as dolphins and turtles live and breed here; you can see them up close. This all makes the region very attractive for a private person to build a second home. All of this makes the region ideal for a private investment in a (vacation)house and also for the business investments in the construction of apartment buildings, a hotel or even a whole vacation village

For the investor Rio Grande do Norte is very attractive; its one of the emerging regions of Brazil. The Brazilian government has decided to give a major impulse to tourism in the region, which results in better roads and facilities in order to attract Brazilian and foreign investors. The investing possibilities are ample and more and more attention is being given to the region in European magazines and newspapers.

The costs of buying land at this moment are still low, but prices will increase in the near future as the region is developing in a high pace. The currency of Brazil is the reais which is connected to the dollar; at this moment the exchange rate is between 2,75 and 2,85 per 1 euro. The capital of this tropical region is Natal, a city that is situated on the coastline of Rio Grande do Norte and has around one million inhabitants. Here you will find facilities like we are used to in Europe such as hospitals, shopping centre, an airport etc. Tourism in Natal is increasing every year and this will also happen in the villages north and south of Natal.
